Cartographic Brochure | La Mesita de Almanza

La Mesita de Almanza is a seafood restaurant situated in Tierra del Fuego, more precisely in the enchanting Puerto Almanza. It holds a unique distinction as one of the top 3 restaurants globally with the lengthiest waiting lists. Reservations must be made six months in advance to secure a table.

Puerto Almanza is a remote fishing village east of Ushuaia, whose economic development relies heavily on seafood products and tourism. Consequently, La Mesita faced two distinct challenges: ensuring people could find their way to the location and standing out among the numerous other seafood restaurants in the area

A brochure was requested to serve as a map, indicating the routes from Ushuaia to La Mesita de Almanza. It was also designed to highlight tourist attractions travelers could visit on their way to the restaurant.

The brochure was entirely illustrated in a style inspired by classic cartographic design, turning it into a small piece of art that tourists would wish to keep as a memento. Beyond its functional aspect, this design aims to transform the journey to the restaurant into an adventure, aiming to linger in the memory for as long as possible.
